World Cup.

Its taken me a few days to get over this denial and finally come to terms with the fact that we are out of the World Cup, and that Portugal have cheated us and snatched a trophy out of our hands AGAIN.

What was Ronaldo thinking?! He is meant to be friends with Rooney. They play on the same team. They both play forward. Doesn't that mean anything to him?!?!?!?!?!?!

Rooney was being tackled from both sides, which, OK, technically is not a foul, but the 2 Portuguese players were using foul moves to tackle him. Since when has a scissor tackle been allowed?! The ref should have blown the whistle before it got to the point where Rooney kicked the guy.
OK, Rooney shouldn't have done that, but he was frustrated. it was a bit silly to put him up front on his own - he had nobody to play with up there, which would get anyone a bit edgy. And then there was that potential goal that he screwed up. And Ronaldo had been winding him up for the whole game.
We all saw Ronaldo wink at the other scum bags on his bench as he walked away from the ref after getting Rooney sent off. So why wasn't he punished for it?!

Every time there was a slight brushing of bodies against each other, Ronaldo was running to the ref, telling tales and trying to get him to dish out yellow cards.
When Hargreaves complained once after the ref had been grossly unfair, he got a yellow card for it. Surely, that in itself is the sign of a biassed ref?!


It was also very upsetting when Becks got subbed. And the camera kept on giving us shots of him sitting on the side line in a lot of pain, with tears in his eyes as he watched his men losing what was going to be the last international game he captained.

In fact, there was a lot on emotional tension in that game that was finally all let out as the England boys sat on the pitch in pain and disbelief after they lost the game and were thrown out of the tournament.

We had a score to settle with them(literally!) from the Euro 04 Cup. Now we just have an even bigger score to settle with them. They are not a better team than us. In a fair game, we'd have beaten them.

Anyway, this World Cup has become a bit ridiculous. All the best teams are out now; England, Brazil, Germany.

I think I'll go for Italy now. Only because I like Italian food. Actually, France have Zidane. And I want france to win their next match because Portugal definitely do not deserve to get through to the final. If they do, it will just teach the world that it's OK to cheat and lie and deceive in order to get what you want - and thats not the kind of lesson we want the youth of today to learn.
