No Food!!!!!!!!!!

You cant take food through customs on the way into Canada!!!!!!!!!!

You have to go through the "I have something to declare" bit and hand in all your food!

Thats a bit over-cautious dont u think...?! They have foot and mouth disease there now anyway, so what are they trying to keep out?!

If I take food in anyway, could they arrest me?! If I pretend to have diplomatic immunity, would they believe me?! Does toothpaste count as food?!

Something always goes wrong when I travel. Like the time I got stopped by those security guards somewhere in the Gulf for having a gun in my bag.

My plan is, If anything goes wrong I'll pretend I dont speak English. Or any other widely known language. I'll pretend to speak in an African sub-continental dialect.

But Ive decided Im not gonna panic. Millions of people travel by plane every day, and they dont all get arrested. Only the ones that do illegal things (...including smuggling food into other countries...?!). Nothing will go wrong. Ive been on planes thousands of times and its been mostly OK.
We were watching a bit of Castaway at Keswick, and Emily helpfully pointed out that if my plane crashes, I probably wont make it to an island so I wont have to be lonely.
Great. Apparently I lack stamina. Thats one thing in my favour at least!

Keswick 2005!

I'm now back from Keswick after a gruelling 7 hour drive....

We had a great time. Surprisingly it only rained for 2 days, and we actually caught a glimpse of the sun a few times!

I've decided that the Lake District is like Wales, but with more signal (its possible to send a txt without first climbing a tree...!)

The Keswick Convention was really good tho! I definitely wanna go back next yr!

We did the whole of Marks Gospel, plus we did loads of really wierd games (eg: Human Bopit! I'll teach you how to play it after the summer! Its so funny!)

Its only 2 days till I leave for Canada!!!!!!
I havent finished packing, but Ive managed to throw some things into a suitcase.
Im probably gonna re-pack several times and still end up forgetting something vital like my toothbrush.....

BUT, I discovered something revolutionary today. My life will never be that same again!

2-in-1 Mosquito Repellant and Aftersun!!!!!!

Who was the genius who thought that up?!?!?!?!

It could save me a lot of time!

I also got the final e-mail about the camps im gonna be helping at/going to. Sounds like I'm gonna have a lot of fun. I dont know what half the stuff is, but it sounds cool.

Things like 'Hayrides'... what are they?! Definitely sounds American... Maybe its sliding down a haystack or something?!
Who knows...! I'll tell u when I get back.

Also, I will be doing melon carving. Its probably self-explanitory... Ive never done it before, but it probably makes you very sticky! Should be fun!!! =D

I need to finish packing now.

(Btw, found my passport abt 30 mins ago! *Phew!* Dont like the pic tho... Its the new one and it makes me look like a spotty vampire........This one wont expire till Im 20 tho, so Id better get used to it!)

Biology Trip Photos!

Here ya go...

I decided to do it now as I have nothing better to do with my life.....

This is the group photo we took at the end.

This is Sop, J and Georgina checking out the stuff they caught.

Theres Emma, Phelan, Elizabeth and Doe doing something in the background, but im not sure what...

Sop, Grace and Georgina were trying to get shrimps to mate...

People scaring the pond life with highly scientific instruments...

How many people can you fit in a single bed?!

It was actually quite comfortable....

Sorry its sideways...

This was Emma explaining how things sound different if you put your hands over your ears...

Summer Holidays Begin!!!

Its FINALLY the summer holidays!!!

I was kinda looking forward to sleeping, but I've got so much planned for the summer that I dunno if I'll have time to sleep...! Never mind....thats what my year 11 maths lessons will be for!

Kinda ironic that the first day of the SUMMER holidays is so cold you almost feel like getting the Christmas decorations out instead of the paddling pool... =S
Oh well...it should warm up soon. It was hot at the beginning of this week!
If the sun doesnt come back, it wont bother me too much coz IM GOING TO CANADA IN 10 DAYS!!!!!! =D
(I'll think of all you people who will be spending 6 weeks at Blackpool Pleasure Beach!!! =P )

The Biology field trip went really well, and we had a lot of fun (as much fun as you non-intellectual people who went to Disney Land while we were fishing dragonfly nymphs out of murky ponds... =P ).
I will get the photos up as soon as possible.
